I know that the most of the youth fall soccer season is over and this would be a good time to help your young referees understand that the dual system is not allowed in USSF and what to do if one of the assigned referees does not show up for the game. I am the coach of an U-14 girls team and this fall we had many games that were assigned as a dual system. This is not allowed, and the entry level and every re-cert course has taught this. I understand that there is a lack of referees but if only two are assigned they should look for a club lineman and not take all the money and split it. We pay for, and expect one referee and two assistants. Even at U-14 girls the dual system has many built in deficiencies. Please do not assign your referees so they get in trouble by using the dual system. Rodney Kenney |
