Reminders and other things to know:

 

  • If you work at Patton Park, you will be paid for all your games at the end of your day afte verification of game count and type.

 

  • Games worked at other locations will be paid on a game by game basis by that site director.

 

  • Fruit, snacks, Gatorade and water will be provided in the referee tent at all locations.

 

  • Food will be provided at Patton Park via “tickets,” given to refs by Augie.  You will get a ticket for each 2 games worked.  Each ticket can be redeemed for concession items including a hamburger, a hotdogs or a slice of pizza and chips.

 

  • Food at other parks are still being finalized, but will likely consist of pizza or subs delivered to those locations.

 

  • Game reports will be provided for each game.  The center referee should complete the final score and any injuries or unusual situations.  Cautions need only be recorded if 2 of them to the same player results in an ejection.  Straight ejections should also be filled in.  Rosters must accompany any game report with an ejection.

 

  • Rosters should be kept along with player passes and returned to coaches at the end of the game.  One person from your crew should be designated to make sure they are returned in a timely fashion.

 

  • Time in between games is tight.  Your referee “team” should be coordinating the filling out of game reports, the return of cards, grabbing a quick bite and a quick break and returning in time to begin the next game ON TIME.  As soon as ONE field falls behind, WE ALL FALL BEHIND.

 

  • No water breaks.

 

  • Know your game times.  Only finals play full game times.

 

  • Pool play games can end in a tie.  Semis and finals require a result.

 

  • Semi-Final and Championship games which end in a tie will play two (2) full five minute overtime periods (no sudden death) after a five minute intermission.  The second overtime period will be restarted as soon as teams switch ends.   If it remains tied after two overtimes, THEN go to penalty kicks.Click any message to view it in the reading pane.   • FIVE minute half times.  Announce it as a reminder during the early stages of the tournament.  Added time only for serious injuries. 

 

  • Visiting team kicks off.

 

  • Check in should be limited to equipment check only.
