Important things to know for the tournament

·         Make sure you are familiar with the rules.

·         The Memorial Day weekend rainout caused a 35% drop in games/teams. 

·         We will only have the tournament at Patton Park…2850 Hodges Blvd Jacksonville 32224.  Please google for directions.

·         Please confirm your assignments.

·         I had a previous out of town commitment and will NOT be there.  Grant Merrill will be the site director and will handle all issues dealing with officials at the site.

·         Payment will be made by check at the end of the tournament.  Grant will be keeping the master schedule.  Any changes that result should be on his schedule as that is what I will pay from next week.  He will ask you to fill out an envelope with your address so I can get the checks out to you quickly.  Put your address in the return address spot, too  J 

·         Food and refreshments will be provided in the ref tent.  If you want something from concessions, you’re on your own.

·         If you’re getting an assessment, make sure you have money to pay the assessor.

·         Please confirm your games.

·         Hotel arrangements are found at the link provided on law18.net on the assignment page.

·         The assignments can be viewed in either in excel or in web page formats.  If you want an easy way to view your games, use the excel format and type in your name in the box at the top and your name will highlight in red.

·         Double check to make sure you’ve seen all your games, please.

·         On time is a minimum of 30 minutes before your first game time.

·         Please confirm your assignments.

 

Condensed rules:

 

·         Check  pass to the player.  No pass, no play.  Rosters are not required to be given to officials. Passes should have a stamp.  Passes are held by ref and returned at the end of the game, except for red cards.

·         18 max dressed players.  Everyone else in pinnies.

·         Unlimited subs on any stoppage as long as it doesn’t disrupt the game.

·         Games end in a tie unless the finals.  If OT is required, it’s two 10 minute halves with a 5 minute rest in between.  Then, PK’s

·         The designated home team shall change in the event of a color conflict.

·         Coaches have the complete responsibility to control the conduct of players, the bench area, parents, family and friends.

·         Game reports are required at the end of each game.  Please be accurate.
